PRAYER FOR CHRISTCHURCH

O God, as we step into our future, may this be an ending and a new beginning: the end of our mere survival and the beginning of our greater PURPOSE;the end of confidence in ourselves and the start of abiding TRUST in You; the end of our holding on to what was and the beginning of LETTING GO for the sake of what can be. Help us remember, Lord, that only as we step out can we ever make it to the other side. Make us eager for the new land that You have promised us, for only in You can we know who we are. Give us grace to become the Christians You have called us to be, and the Church the world needs us to be. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
